Athens 1896 Olympic Games
The Athens 1896 Olympic Games, officially known as Games of the I Olympiad, were held in Athens, Greece, between 6 and April 15, 1896. 241 athletes participated in male-female participation, there were fourteen countries who competed in 43 competitions in nine sports. They were the first Olympics of the modern era.Since then, every four years, athletes from all countries gather to compete against each other.
